Description

The morning I went out to do this series, the weather was pretty miserable. One of the biggest misconceptions in photography is that miserable weather makes for bad pictures: nothing could be farther from the truth. Cloudy, overcast weather allows for brief moments in which the light just breaks through the clouds. The effect is beautiful.. and honestly one of the most awarding aspects of photography for me.

Photo taken at La Jolla Shores. The guy in the shot was waiting for his surfer friend to get back to shore.
