I skipped the 2nd day theme to do the 3rd one due to the votes that people were giving me. Another reason that I wanted to took my time with each drawing so I only had time to do one. To be honest, the sketch for this one existed a long time ago, way back when I was still newly into this ship. To get inspiration for Wammy Week, I digged through my old art and found some really good ones.

Unlike now, where I only sketch with simple or tangled lines, I used to finish most of the based drawing using traditional means, even shaded the whole thing using pencil. Right now, I think I had lost that kind of patience since I started relying more on doing everything digitally.

Back to this drawing, the main idea is to tell a scene or a story using an A4 sized paper. No word is needed in this series. This is how I headcanoned their first meet would be. Mello entered and lived in Wammy's before Near did. He was basically 1st in academic ranking and also the "ruler" of that place.

In this drawing, Near was looking at Mello because he was new to everything. Mello was greeting whoever brought Near there because the blond recognized them. And then he spotted Near and was fascinated with his hair color. The thought after that was "New kid, new fun", whether Near would become Mello's next picking target or his next loyal minion. Too bad Mello didn't know he was looking at his soon to be worst nightmare XD

I'm really proud of how this piece turned out. The coloring was very soft and blended better than I thought. I hope you guys enjoy this piece as much as I do. One more post today XD
