Yes, a Star Wars reference. 
Light's name is spelled with the kanji for moon after all. 
Mikami could make sense as Luna, Tuxedo Mask/Kamen, or Rini/ChibiUsa, so I made him a bastardisation of all three! 
N doesn't stand for Near... it stands for the Negaverse! (I actually liked the dub before I watched the uncut Sailor Moon 
)
