[CACIB/T] Autumn Orchard FestivalHeld in a Apple Orchard/Pumpkin Patch in upstate New York CACIB/T Judge: KSMelnyk - MuddyPawsAcres as co-judge THIS IS A JOURNAL FOR TWO SHOWS. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS! Show 1: Apple Orchard + Barn Hunt Starts: 9/1/2023 Ends: 10/1/2023 Show 2: Pumpkin Patch + IPO Starts: 10/1/2023 Ends: 11/1/2023 -------------------------------------- Rules Breed standards used are from here: AKC Breed Standards.If a breed is not AKC recognized, we will use the UKC standard, then FCICreated Breeds are allowed but please link the breed standard- Breeds not approved by PC can not earn CACIB or CACIT.Tracing is not allowed.Stock references must be credited, dogs will be disqualified if not.Background must contain at least 3 distinct elements (not including dog, collar, or leash).Backgrounds can be reused if made for this event.Entrants must be a member of any DARPG / dog club.Dogs must be shown at a minimum of 3/4 pose.Commissions are allowed but collaborations are not, except for word count.There is no entry limit. Extra entries will not be scored.Handlers and Stories are not required but will give extra points.Entry must be drawn, sculped, or modeled art.All artwork must be original with the exception of brushes, stock textures, etc. No photomanipulations.Results are final, unless there is an error made by the judge.We reserve the right to add onto these rules, and all Pedigree-Club rules in the Terms of Service still apply to this show.Pedigree-Club CACIB/T rules apply to all entries (found here). SHOW 1 CONFORMATION SETTINGThe show is held outside in a large open field next to the apple orchard. There will be apples all over the ground so be sure to wear proper shoes! If handlers are drawn, they can be dressed in casual attired. Images should show apple trees in the background, as we will not be BETWEEN the trees. There is no real fencing, however small hay bales are used to create a barricade between the show "ring" and the apple trees. The show takes place in the morning and the sky is blue. BARN HUNT SETTINGBarn hunt will take place inside a barn right next to the orchard. Dogs will have to climb through hay bales and the occasional pumpkin to find the rats. , SHOW 2- NOT OPEN YET!!!! CONFORMATION SETTINGThe show is held outside in the nearby pumpkin patch. There is a small barn shop in the background. You can choose the size of the pumpkins and how many there are. There is no real fencing, however small hay bales are used to create a barricade between the show "ring" and the pumpkins. The show takes place in the afternoon and the sky is blue. IPO SETTINGThis takes place at night in a modified show ring. Pumpkins are used to create a giant ring around the show location- some are carved with lights inside. There is also a ring of lights above to make it more visible (see image 3). If you draw the decoy, there is a point bonus if you draw them dressed up as a horror movie character! I.E. Jason, Michael Myers, Freddie, etc.You can decorate the pumpkins as you like- carved jack o lanterns are only allowed for the IPO show, not the confo show, -------------------------------------- Each of the below are offered as DARPG, Sims 3, and Sims 4. For sims entries, please specify. CACIBs are awarded, as applicable, in the "Other Classes" below. More information about Color Club can be found here: LINK. -------------------------------------- SPORT RULES Titles that will be distributed:BHT (Barn Hunt Tested)BHN (Barn Hunt Novice)BHA (Barn Hunt Advanced) BHCh (Barn Hunt Champion) RATN (Novice Barn Hunt) RATO (Open Barn Hunt) RATS (Senior Barn Hunt) RATM (Master Barn Hunt) RATCh (Barn Hunt Champion II) RATChX (Barn Hunt Master Champion)---- SchI / IPO1 (Schutzhund 1) SchII / IPO2 (Schutzhund 2)SchIII / IPO3 (Schutzhund 3) Any dog who participates and follows submission guidelines will earn their CACIT. -------------------------------------- Judging Rubric- CACIB/T Comparison to Gallery (1-20): Score should be higher the more positive consistencies and differences there are. These are judged against the artists gallery. Techniques (such as brushes, fur, anatomy, style, etc), as well as, composition (creativity of pose, style, dog, background, etc) will also be judged on positive consistencies and differences. If an entry is commissioned, the entry will be judged against the gallery of the artist that made the piece, NOT the owner of the dog. Breed Standard (1-5): CONFORMATION ONLY. How correct the dog is to the written standard for their breed in color, conformation, gait, etc. Color Club Conformation Score (1-6): CONFORMATION ONLY; If applicable. How correct the dog is to the written standard for their breed in conformation, gait, minus color. (Color Club Conformation class only). Word Count (0-3): +1 for every 100 words up to 3 points (300/three hundred) Show Accuracy (0-10): How accurately the artist depicts the show and setting. Artistic Appeal (0-10): This category takes into consideration color use, general appeal, composition, shading, perspective, an obvious light source, and general creativity. A carefully planned and executed piece that doesn't appear sloppy or rushed that may or may not use complex poses, etc will receive a higher score. Handler/Judge Depicted (0-5): 0 points for neither shown. +3 for a half-body depiction. 5 points for full body. Advertisement (0-2): 2 points for advertising the show in a journal, status update, or poll. Bonus (2) IPO SHOW ONLY: 2 points for drawing the decoy as a horror movie character ---------------------------------------------------- Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex winners in the effort portion will receive the American Champion (AmCh) title if applicable. Dogs already with an American Ch title will gain a leg toward their GrAmCh. All sports offered will award +1 title if applicable.
