I want to draw shiny tires. Not like wheel shiny, but with a nice shimmer, like freshly scrubbed...or like brand new, still in the showroom. That's probably an odd thing to post up, but I was looking at Roger Lusty's artwork http://www.rogers-auto-art.ca/home.php and I absolutely love his wantercolor renderings and noticed the attention he pays to the sidewalls and that thought popped into my head. If you haven't seen his auto art, you really should! They're absolutely beautiful :)

I just wanted to send out a big thank you! This month has been rather interesting: I lost my night job (nationwide layoff, total bummer! :( ), I had art displayed in a car show (did I post photos of that up here, yet?? 🦥), TDR magazine is interested in more art, I ended up with a digital camera (haven't had one in two years), my family is giving me one of their "old" laptops (they're getting tired of me complaining about my decade-old desktop :lmao: ), a boxing club is having me design their logo, I have business cards, and the truck is still running (knock on wood). Last weekend, I face-painted John Deere logos on kids at an antique tractor show. This weekend, my art was displayed with a car at a car show. And I finally had business cards made up! I used the '41 Chevy for those, since I figured for a car show, it'd be a good choice :) More art on the way, but for now, I must hit the sack so I can start my day fresh. It was a long night of work into the Ford Galaxie, and I'm afraid I didn't bother to go to sleep, yet...whoops.
