Description

The Shussebora (Dracoiactantior pseudocochlea) is a Incredible new species of Amphibian that resembles an Asian dragon but it's starts out as something very unexpected, these animals start as slug-like tadpoles which they head for the water and stay there for awhile eating algae and freshwater plants but then they slowly grow and learn to somewhat "slither" on to land and find a shell to live in so they can survive near water. Shusseboras lay dozens of eggs to help sustain their next generation... but sadly not many will survive to adulthood thanks to predators such as birds, small mammals, frogs and fish..... the tadpoles keep their snail shells and tuck into them like actual snails do until they grow stumps, and those stumps become flippers thus they gain the instinct where they have no need for need for their shells along with new behavior and new food to feast on so the tadpoles remove their shells entirely and slowly become not only looking like newts but also gained an appetite for small animals like fish and small mammals. They're even starting to slowly amphibious lungs as well as feather-like external gills just like Axolotl salamanders and although they are mostly use these for breathing underwater the adults use them as an intimidation display.... The males as well use these for mating displays as well as to scare off rival males and other predators, over time the Shusseboras grow Antler-like horns (which is bone protected with hard skin) through their growth stages especially Barbel whiskers to help them sense vibrations but no knows what the horns are used for.... Probably make itself look bigger and intimidating or just for show plus if male fight they can break them off Probably killing themselves. In their fully adult stages the Shussebora's behavior is similar to that of crocodiles and like them they ambush their prey hiding underwater and when the timing is right they lunge forward using their dagger-like teeth to aim for the throat, wrapping their long slender bodies around their prey squuzing and tightening them like boa contrictors... they also can do spend on land for long periods of time thanks to the hardened skin able to absorb moisture however during dry seasons they are the most vulnerable which is why they stay near water, but during snowy seasons much like it's long lost cretaceous relative the Koolasuchus... in the cold underwater their skin can regulate body temperature but do tend to hunt on land as a scavenger, and like salmon they mingle and loving together bonding but after they reproduce they go there separate ways but amazingly they have an incredible memory like us so if they do meet again they'll remember when they first met but only come together to hunt or for protection.
