Description

Jor-El, father of Kal-El, was a scientist of the Planet Krypton who predicted the planet's eventual destruction. To spare his son such a doomed fate, Jor-El jettisoned the young Kal-El off Krypton, en route to the Planet Earth, whose environment would sustain him.
