Backstory:

Eirlynn Shadowbloom was born under the cover of a dense, foggy forest, where the trees grow tall and twisted, blotting out the sun's rays. Her mixed heritage—a rare union between a drow and a wood elf—has made her an outsider in both realms. The drow see her as weak and tainted by the forest, while the elves view her with suspicion due to her drow lineage. This isolation drove her to find solace within the wild, learning to commune with nature and honing her survival instincts.

From a young age, Eirlynn was taken in by an elder elven ranger who saw potential in her skill with the bow and her fierce connection to nature. The elder taught her the ways of the forest: tracking, hunting, and speaking the silent language of the trees. Eirlynn was a quick learner, but she also found herself wrestling with an uncontrollable rage—an inner fire she suspected came from her drow blood. To channel this rage, her mentor taught her the ways of primal barbarism, guiding her to unleash it only in times of great need.

In her adult years, Eirlynn took on the role of a silent guardian of the forest. Clad in dark leathers adorned with leaves and vines, she roams the misty woods as a shadow, fiercely protective of the natural world. Her face, painted with ash and earth, is a warning to trespassers and a symbol of her dedication to the forest. Eirlynn has become a myth among those who wander too deep into her domain, some calling her the “Ghost of the Mist,” others simply disappearing without a trace.

Personality:

Eirlynn is quiet, stoic, and fiercely independent, her words as sharp as her arrows. She is haunted by a sense of not belonging and rarely opens up, even to those she trusts. Despite her solitary nature, she is compassionate towards those who respect nature and will go to great lengths to protect innocents. Her rage, however, is always simmering beneath the surface, unleashed when the forest is threatened.

Goals:

Eirlynn seeks to protect the delicate balance of her forest, preventing both drow marauders and greedy settlers from encroaching on sacred land. She also secretly desires to learn more about her drow heritage, though she fears the darkness it might bring.
