Description

I've had this concept in my mind for 15 years after hitting upon the moment back in 2007.
Driving up to World Fantasy Convention in Saratoga that year I gazed in wonder at all the pools of swampy water and grasses, triggering the memory of Isildur's death in the reeds of the Anduin and the loss of the One Ring, from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.
New commissions finally pushed me to put this down in sketch form. Such a pleasure to get it out!
