Crowley|Tiefling|Bard|Concept by DonFuchs on DeviantArt (original) (raw)
So, let me introduce you to another character from one of my current D&D compaigns, called “Collision” (I realized that I have never mentioned its name yet, heh😅).
Meet Crowley - a tiefling and a very talented self-taught violinist who arrived on the continent of Morrus in order to gain fame and find a better use for his musical and writing talents. On his native continent of Ezog, which is less developed culturally, he had absolutely nothing to catch, so thanks to a successful meeting, Crowley was able to cross the ocean waters and ended up on Morrus, where valued the art more.
Crowley met Ignis at the “At the Crossroads” inn, where he was living at that time, trying to earn a couple of gold pieces for his living with his performances. The minstrel immediately became interested in the unusual (there are very few tieflings on Ezog, and there are no gnome tieflings at all) and attractive appearance of Ignis (oh bards, such a bards😏). Having arranged a small playful competition of talents, Crowley and Ignis threw an unprecedented performance at the inn, which the owner was extremely happy about, who earned a lot of money that evening. Then Ignis hired herself to accompany a caravan through a dangerous forest, along with other mercenaries, and Crowley persuaded the organizer of this expedition to hire him as a minstrel on the trip so that everyone would not be bored. This way Crowley could earn money and get into a big city for free and continue his pleasant acquaintance with Ignis😈
On the way through the forest, there was a sudden zombie attack on the caravan and Crowley was so frightened that a dormant talent for magic was revealed in him. Somehow, intuitively using a couple of spells, he realized that he was not so far from her as he had previously thought. Having fought off the dead, Ignis decided to go save the unlucky members of the caravan who were dragged into the forest, while others could get to the city. Crowley bravely decided not to let the lady into the forest alone, especially since now he no longer felt like a simple minstrel with a violin. He felt that now, with the help of awakened magic, he could fight off a couple more zombies. Moreover, Ignis will kill everyone else😜
Having overcome all the adventures in the forest (an unexpected fight with a bear, a skirmish with a hundred mini-mimics and long wanderings through the forest), the tieflings reached an old abandoned fortress. There they discovered the abducted people, and also their abductor - an old necromancer who uses someone else's life force to prolong his own life. Crowley, having absolutely dared, rushed at the necromancer and, trying to repel the damage with necrotic energy, did not quite correctly apply some spells and... his skin changed color to dark purple. Ignis, saving the overly self-confident newly minted bard, was able to press the necromancer to the wall and finish off the old maniac. And Crowley had to get used to the new image, which he liked even more than before😈
Thus began their joint adventures with Ignis, and the more they became, the more the bard admired the beautiful and fearless artificier with a way of thinking incomprehensible to him. Having begun to compose ballads about the adventures of Ignis and describing all the virtues of the lady, the bard began to gain quite a reputation for himself. The ballads were liked by both the common people and the noble, and Crowley little by little began to become famous. Like Ignis, about whom the bard never tired of writing new lines.
Here is a small (he-he😅) introduction about Crowley. The bard has already developed quite a bit as a character in the compaign and has already acquired not only a new skin, but also a new bard costume, and is already planning to update his wardrobe again. So this concept, like the Ignis concept, will be replenished with new images😁
