Description

An accessory for "steampunk" costuming.

It's actually an antique pedometer, made in a watch-like style. The diamond shape with letters in it is the logo of the American Pedometer Company. The letters at the bottom say "Made in USA - Patent applied for", and this device later received US patents 694,652 (March 4th 1902) and 738,482 (September 8th 1903). The watch stem with knob at the top is not the original stem for this case, which had no knob and was equipped with a belt hook.
