So a rocket stove is something I’ve recently learned about because YouTube has decided that I’m interested in survivalist videos—which I am, I’m just wondering how it knows this. And yes Max is getting meta again I don’t know how I feel about sta.sh getting sunsetted in favor of studio but I know it’s not positive. Also I kept seeing humanity is the virus, nature is healing posts during 2020 and I’m absolutely baffled at how many people ignore the fact that humans are a part of nature and the like—what, do they think we’re alien invaders from another planet or what? 
In other news…yeah I’ve always heard you don’t want to know what goes in fast-food fries. And considering there was always a question of where meat in the Pokémon world comes from…pre-eclipse the majority of joints went vegan, to Ripley’s irritation. Also on the list of odd things in canon we’re addressing, the general attitude towards vehicles and the whole fight-picking business, which is also a reference to this scene in Jet’s Black Nuzlocke. Weaton’s referencing Moon from The Books of the Raksura, by the way—been rereading that series and enjoying it greatly. 
Weaton’s also referencing a lot of his old history with the Caverns—boi has about six years of character/worldbuilding under his belt and we’re going to be addressing a big chunk of it. For some Renegades shenanigans, Weaton’s referencing the Twilight Horror event, although in reading old CC pieces this has been building for a while. I love it when it all comes together….
The reference to Level 100 medals is a bit of worldbuilding I’ve done in my one fic Shadows and Ash (read it now on FFN and AO3). Also Kelsie’s referencing the line that plays when you try going out of bounds in Subnautica. In other news, I really didn’t like the Jennies in the OG Pokémon series, basically the stereotypical inept cops that jump to conclusions trope and that’s detestable. And ooh, some Max backstory unlocked….
