Lately, she has taken to asking him questions about his homeworld after they’ve finished making love. But he doesn’t mind….he enjoys teaching her new things, and he knows she enjoys learning about him.

Tonight, she lies on his chest, lightly tracing the tattoos and requesting the meaning of each. It has been a long time since he first learned their meanings, but he has been able to recite each one without too much thought. Her fingertips now follow the dark line running from his eye down across his shoulder and back. “And this one? What does this one mean?”

He gently caresses her shoulder, mimicking her hand’s movements with his. “That one means strength through passion. Through love and dedication, my blood, sweat, and tears will enable me to become strong enough to lift myself and those around me.”

He can feel her smile. “I like that one best.” She has said that about every single one thus far.

Now she turns her attention to the one beneath it, the one that goes from his cheek to his hand. “What about this one? I believe it is the longest marking you have on your body.”

“It is. That is because it is the most important.”

She runs her fingers back and forth over one of its corners curiously. “Please explain.”

He watches her for a moment, lost in thought. Finally, he speaks, “It means that there is life after death. Our tears may flow for those who have passed, but eventually, they will stop and we will continue living and building for ourselves on the foundation our loved ones laid here in this world while they watch over us from the next.”

She tilts her head to look up at him. “Do you really believe in such a thing? Life after death?”

He looks down at her and smiles before planting a soft kiss on her forehead.

“Yes….I really do.”

Razaya doodle I came up with while wondering about Razer’s tattoos. lol

About the way I chose to draw Aya….It is my headcanon that she has created a way to construct herself for intimacy with Razer so that most of her body is a robot “skeleton” covered in the green energy (I thought it was so awesome the first time I realized she’s part construct!). She still needs her helmet, but the other white parts are not required.

I don’t think this needs a Mature Warning….nothing’s really happening at this point and you can’t see anything. lol
