Danny: Looks like we'll be the only two cats on the ark. Isn't that great?
Sawyer: So much for preserving the species!

I adore Cats Don't Dance, it really does not get the love it deserves. It is a fantastic film. Scott Bakula? Gene Kelly choreography? Randy Newman (his best work, in my opinion)? Countless nods to classic films and stars? Sign me up!
CDD is easily one of my favorite animated films ever. Right up there with Sleeping Beauty, yo.
One of my absolute favorite features of this film is that its characters actually dance as well as sing. In most Disney films, the most you'll see is a waltz or a twirl or some kind of jig. But CDD? There is real dancing. And, best of all, is just reeks of Gene Kelly.
Did you know that Gene Kelly is one of my favorite people ever? He is. His contributions on the choreography in this movie is just wonderful. So, my little nod to his contributions is this is: I jacked a pose from (quite possible my favorite Gene Kelly movie) An American in Paris.
If you only watch one scene from Cats Don't Dance, let it be the Animal Jam ---> [link]
The only unfortunate thing about this movie is that it isn't available in widescreen on DVD. It makes me sad. (But the scene I linked to is in widescreen, so that's nice~)
