Tony: She was bad. She was dangerous. I wouldn't trust her any farther than I could throw her. But... she was my kind of woman.

One of my top three favorite musicals. The list (like all my lists) jumps around a bit, but right now, my top three are: An American in Paris, The Band Wagon, and Easter Parade.
*sigh* I wish musicals like this were still culturally relevant. Nowadays we only get lame musicals like High School Musical. The only recent musical that I can think of off the top of my head that I actually like is Hair Spray. Haven't seen Nine yet, but that one does look pretty good. (Sophia Loren? Sign me up!)
If you haven't seen this movie, I HIGHLY recommend it. Let me put it this way: If you liked Singin' in the Rain, you will like The Band Wagon.
At least watch the Girl Hunt ballet: [link] It is made of awesome.
So for my first MGM musical couple, I decided to change it up and try out my new blotchy coloring style. I really like it, myself. :^)
Strangely, Cyd Charisse's face was harder to convert into my style that Fred Astaire's. Waht's up with that? Since when do I have a harder time with females? Hmm.
If you up look that red dress, there was a butt-load of detail to it. I did my best to capture it, but you know.. I could only put in so much detail into that iconic red dress. There is only so much I can do with my inking and coloring. <:^/
I love Fred Astaire's man ring. He also wore a man-bling bracelet, but he wore that on his left arm, so it's not visible in my picture.
Oh, and Happy New Year!!
