Description

Keokuk "Watchful Fox” named after the Sauk Chief. This is a unique hand carved Native American in Plains Cottonwood bark. This indigenous carving made to portray a unique representation of a Native person, without the traditional headdress or feathers often seen in such artwork. The cottonwood bark used in this artwork had been carefully harvested by me from a century-old fallen cottonwood tree.
