The PM md. 65 is a Romanian-made assault rifle modeled after the AKM that was produced from 1963 to 1994, being invented by the Socialist Republic of Romania during the Cold War. The rifle was supplied to fellow Warsaw Pact and Eastern Bloc nations, and the weapon has seen action in the conflicts in Northern Ireland and during the Gulf War and Iraq War in the Middle East.
