Description

My half of an art trade with Azcazach..

This was a blast to work on, because I was fiddling around with mixed media coloring again. Ended up doing a layer of colored pencil>blue marker>more colored pencil on top. It's not perfect, but that's alright. Used white acrylic for the scale detail and sea foam (man I suck at traditional water <.<, anyone have pointers or a tutorial?).

Also messed around with the anatomy a bit. I figured the wing shape (short "arm" with longer "fingers" and overall more muscular) as well as larger webbed back feet would be more advantageous to propulsion in water. In retrospect though, the feet might have been a little too big .

I am pretty satisfied with te end result though despite all its flaws
