This image is very interesting. Very interesting indeed. A most tantalizing mixture of chronological references and atmospheres, that really plays jokes and tricks with the eyes and the mind.

The rather harsh, "charcoal-y" grey-scaling of this image gives this image just a touch of a vintage Victorian age feel, which goes well with the attire worn by the subject. However, at the same time, the attire is not entirely and perfectly conventional, and has a sense of uniqueness to it

The natural landscape also gives a sense of nature in this image, which goes well with the "archer/ranger" topic of the subject in the image. However, the appearance of the semi-modern looking boat-docks near the water set that off with a sense of balance in a way, that says "people still live near this otherwise natural looking area".

And finally, what most interestingly sets off this image - and I'm sure you had no other choice otherwise - is the archery bow. Some might say that an actual "antique/archaic looking" bow would've been more suiting. But I feel that the very modern looking sports bow portrayed in this image gives the image an artistic touch, and unique balance, that toys with the mind a bit.

A very interesting image indeed. I always enjoy looking at your photos, but this one really catches the eye. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
