On the afternoon of April 6, 1993, we're on ATSF's Transcon outside of Seligman AZ to chase trains, while on our way to Front Royal VA to chase N&W Class J 4-8-4 #611 on her trips in Virginia. Soon, we caught Amtrak Train #3, the Westbound Southwest Chief, from Chicago IL to Los Angeles CA. The train was running over 3 hours & 44 minutes behind schedule & was making up for lost time behind a P32-8BWH or Pepsi Can & an F40PH, as it heads for Hollywood. Bringing up the rear is Theater Car #89, the William Barstow Strong. The car was on it's way to LA to meet up with the rest of Santa Fe's Business Train for an Operation Lifesaver Special on the Surf Line to San Diego. The train would arrive in LA, the following morning.
