1999- The Nazcas mummy by Eysescope on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

Since the dawn of time, people have honoured their dead by creating tombs according to their beliefs. Each civilisation has opted for specific ceremonies, and sometimes equally specific tombs. Burying one's dead will become quite common for the human race, but with some nuances as to how it is done.

Mummies of the Nascas people have been found in the Peruvian desert. A Nascas mummy is buried, in the traditional way, vertically in its grave, seated, with its legs bent and tied to its torso.
