Client commission-Valkyrie Rider
I was so enthusiastic when my client requested a full plate Valkyrie type armor to wear in her professional equastrian show. I knew it could be a great opportunity to make a wing based design. I drew and sculpted the base shape wings out of apoxy sculpt and molded+casted those into the design. I went for a classic silver with gold trim armor that would look great up close and far off. The dress has a long 3 meter train to create a dramatic draped effect when she rides her mighty horse! Other then the obvious nordic Valkyrie myth, I got inspiration from the armor of Louis XIV and the statue of the Winged Victory of Samothrace.
