Werewolf Bard | Roll for Combat by Feig-Art on DeviantArt (original) (raw)
A werewolf bard isn't something you see everyday. I wonder what the vocal range is like on a werewolf? I imagine being able to bark and howl opens up some new options in singing.
People tend to envision werewolves as being these mindless bloodthirsty beasts, but this one is something of a deviation from that. This werewolf seems like a rather nice and pleasant individual who just wants to inspire others with his/her music. I just hope people don't take the bard the wrong way. Unfortunately, werewolves have a bad rep in the eyes of many. Would be a good idea to tag along with a party of adventurers who accept the bard for who he/she is, if not a party of other werewolves.
I like the character design. The bard does everything to ensure he/she does not come across savage looking. He/she is well dressed in fancy High Rennaissance style clothing. His/her fur and clothing is all very well kept, and the outfit is lavishly coloured with cyans, purples, and yellows. The bard is also dressed ready for a battle too, wearing some armour. A cuirass is worn over the body, and spalders protect the shoulders. These too are painted in lavish colours and have golden trims. My biggest gripe is probably the weapon. Just a dinky little dagger. Honestly, those claws are probably a better weapon. I'd recommend investing in a sword. The bard will better be able to defend themselves, and there's really no disadvantage to having a sword over a dagger, besides maybe concealability.
Anyway, well done!
