Bolero pads over a stone pathway while something shifts beneath the gold lilies in the water below. He is filled with unease that he doesn't understand; does he not see what lurks because it is hidden, or because he wills himself to avoid it?

8x10" watercolor and gouache (with digital wisps to make sure that Conservatory Element is covered).
I do not have faith that Bolero and I are gonna get through this event x__x but it was a good motive to get off my butt and start practicing some colored backgrounds traditionally. This was pretty out of the comfort zone. reminder to self; just use the good paper next time, and work *biggggeeerrr*
