As the match began, both fighters began to test the other, gauging the other's speed and strength. As one would lunge forward, the opponent would back away, circling the other, looking for any potential weakness, any chink in the armour.

The rookie had grown tired of the cat and mouse game and played right into Steve's hands.

As he impatiently moved to strike, Steve saw the opportunity he was waiting for and caught the challenger in his left cheek.

A look of determination but also, perhaps, a smirk of confidence appeared on Steve's lips, knowing he had landed the first strike.
