technically it's no longer January 9, but it is for you so I count that as a win
literally forgot I started this last year and found it today. I decided to finish it for you so that's why it's a partial gift LOL
sidenote, ain't it funny that my first drawing for 2019 is something I drew in 2018? :U

when I drew this, I had an idea of how this conversation would go down, so please indulge in my fantasies c:

Dragon: Whatcha got there Bouldy?
Boulder: Ich's ah fower!
Dragon: How about trying that again without the plant in your mouth?
Boulder: Oh! *puts down flower* It's a flower!
Dragon: Well I know that, but why do you have one?
Boulder: Well, uh, it's Newleaf, and I noticed that the flowers were blossoming, and a lot of she-cats have been putting buds in their fur and-"
Dragon: Oh, so you think I'm like other she-cats?
Boulder: W-what? No! I just mean-"
Dragon: Cause new flash! I'm not!
Boulder: No! I just thought you'd look nice with it!
Dragon: Oh...you really think so?
Boulder: Yeah! Especially this one, cause it matches your eyes! Also, while it may feel soft, it's tougher then it looks. Just like you!
Dragon: Boulderpaw...That's...*pause* Uh, will you help me put it on?
Boulder: Of course! *places flower in her fur*
Dragon: Well, how do I look?
Boulder: *blushes* Beautiful...
Dragon: *blushes* T-thanks...
*Awkward pause*
Dragon: Soooooo, you want to go hunting?
Boulder: YES! I-I mean, yeah, if you want to, I could go for some hunting. Matter of fact, I think this is the perfect moment to-
Dragon: Boulderpaw, you're rambling again.
Boulder: Oh. *blushes even more* Oops.
Dragon: *chuckles* Come on furball, let's go.
