Well it's not exactly "alchemical" but the spiral movements remind me of alchemy...

It's Chie, if you haven't noticed.

Obviously, I used gradients (!) for most of the parts, but the skin, eyes, and ears were brushed. I used the Bevel and Emboss effect for the shades.
Yepyep, left the "Chie"+butterfly untouched, for whatever reason...
