I vowed never to do a Phoenix manip since I really have a distaste for Jean but as of late, I'm warming up to Jean as Dark Phoenix. I did the inevitable and created a Dark Phoenix manip as you see above.

I think Famke Janssen did an okay job as Jean, not particularly my favorite preference for the role but I think she could pull off a Dark Phoenix. I used her as the model. The Phoenix is emerging it's head and talons from the emblem on her uniform.

For this I used a Velociraptor head from Jurassic Park since I couldn't get a good Pterodactyl head.

I put a neat flame and dark flame in the back since she is "Fire Incarnate" seemed obvious I should do it.

Not much really to say but just the make-up job. She always looked pretty and that's not a bad thing, even in my manip I still think she looks beautiful. I think she should have more looked like she was semi dead and burnt. That was the effect I was going for. Oh and I kept the deep red hair and made it longer and stringy to fit with the flame effects.
