Renée is a no-nonsense type of woman who never leaves a job undone! She's dedicated to seeing things through and will put in all the effort to making sure a task is handled properly, whether that's managing the kitchen at her diner or getting small errands done. This is done through a mix of being passionate, responsible, and also a harsh voice that tells her she needs to be perfect all the time. She's kind and polite to strangers, but is very guarded of her own feelings. She can judge others as harshly as she judges herself, but recognizes this fact and strives to amend it. Though, her problems and deeper emotions do come flooding out after a few drinks.

History:

The Adler family is a close knit bunch from Nacrene City with Renée being the youngest of two sisters. Her family owns a burger joint called the Bullish Burger and she spent most of her early life helping serve customers and cook in the kitchen. She's always enjoyed life in the restaurant, but understood the troubles of running one upon seeing her parents struggle to stay afloat. She moved away for a time to go to college and earn a finance degree. She was able to acquire a job at the bank in her hometown, allowing her to stay near her family while also earning a fair amount of income.

During her 20s, Renée navigated a successful career as a bank teller and occasionally helped out at her parent's restaurant. However, she struggled in her personal relationships and came out of many of them with nothing but heartbreak. Her parents would eventually retire as well, and give ownership of the restaurant to her sister's family. While Renée agreed it was the best decision, she felt saddened for not being considered. Feeling jaded by her home and her failing relationships, she moved to Alola following a job promotion. There, she would enjoy a new life of luxury in a rich, metropolitan beachside area... except she wouldn't. She wanted to quit, but not immediately.

She kept it up for a couple years while also taking night classes at a culinary school. There, she received a certificate and was even hired by her mentor at his five-star restaurant. She quit her banking job and worked alongside him, the two even entering into a romantic relationship. She thought she had found her future with this man. Her happy ending was here in this glamorous restaurant... until it wasn't. The relationship lasted only a few years. Additionally, he was a prick who kept devaluing her as a person as time went on...

After the breakup, she would quickly leave Alola, beg for her old job back, and take refuge in her sister's home. With each passing day, she grew more wary of her age and changing body. She was getting older, and she had nothing in her life she could call her own. No family, no children, no legacy.

The choice to move to Harthaven was a tough one, but one she was confident in making with her 20 years of various culinary expertise and financial planning. She had saved up the revenue to start anew and open something she loved to call her own: a diner! She had fond memories of visiting her grandparents on the islands, and felt comfortable being in a familiar place while also planting new roots for something she could nurture. It would be a modest venture, a difficult one too, but it would be her's. Plus, there was the potential to meet new people, get married, and start a family! But if that didn't work out, at least she'd have her diner and maybe 14 cats.
