Past/Bio:
Tirre was born outside of Poseidonis, but moved into the capital to study at the Conservatory of Sorcery at a young age after showing a strong affinity for hydrokinetic magic. She studied at the conservatory starting at the age of 7, learning quickly under Queen Mera. Seeing the promise in the girl, Mera connected her with another star student, Tula, who tutored Tirre and helped her advance her skills even more. During this time Tula also first introduced her to her friends, Garth and Kaldur’ahm. Tirre also quickly became good friends with another young student, Lagaan. When Tula and Garth became heros and joined Kaldur on the surface, Tirre remained behind, practicing her skills even more. After Tula’s death, however, Tirre became angry, and started to train with her powers in a more combat focused way. This only accelerates once Kaldur ‘defects’ to start working with his father. Tirre develops serious trust issues towards anyone new or semi-suspicious in her eyes. This leads to many disciplinary strikes against her in the conservatory and ultimately Mera has no choice but to suspend her indefinitely. This doesn’t bother Tirre much, as she’s too focused on her combat training. When Lagaan leaves for the surface world she remains weary of newcomers into her life, but helps the team on occasion, including when they rescue the kidnapped children from the Reach and when they are deactivating Black Beetle’s Chrysali. Kaldur returns home and explains himself to her and Garth, and she starts to return to normal. She is also reaccepted into the Conservatory. When Kaldur takes up the role of Aquaman she is overjoyed for him. Soon after, he asks her to be his protege. She is skeptical, never having been interested in the surface world. She is also weary because of the way Lagaan returned to Atlantis after never really fitting in on the surface. Her and Kaldur train for a while together as he continues to try to convince her, eventually offering the idea of a glamour charm. Tirre likes the idea but is worried about not being authentic to herself, and they come to an agreement- a glamour charm that when on land makes her appear more human but not completely; and when in water it shows her true form. Happy and intrigued after so much discussion, she becomes Kaldur’s protege, taking up the code name ‘Tsunami’.
By Season 4, Tirre has ditched the glamour charm and has fully accepted her differences to humans. She now works as a metahuman counselor and advocate for metahuman and Atlantean rights, as well as maintaining her role as a member of the Outsiders.
About Her
Personality: Tirre tends to be quite serious and overly formal, as a cause of being raised mostly at the Conservatory. Social cues are not her strong suit, and she is still learning to understand surface world etiquette. When she puts her walls down she does have a bit of a witty side. She makes lots of fish related puns and references, similar to Lagaan.
Occupation: Hero, Conservatory student
Likes:
- Fish (as friends): Tirre can talk to fish, and her favorite part is that she knows they won’t judge anything she says
- Swimming: Obviously. When she’s swimming her head clears, and especially after being on the surface so long it is an extremely nostalgic and comforting feeling
- Sunny days: Tirre loves being able to clearly see the sky go through it’s cycles everyday. If she could she’d spend a whole day and night laying on the ground just looking at the sky
- Overly outgoing people: Tirre struggles with meeting new people, so when someone is overtly kind or open to her, she appreciates it and is comforted by it.
- Surfing: Tirre is unsurprisingly very good at surfing. It makes her feel very at ease and in tune with herself, and she'll often go to surf when she needs to de-stress.
Dislikes:
- Fish (as food): Clearly, she doesn’t eat fish and never has. After going to the surface in fact, and especially after meeting Beast Boy, she doesn’t eat any meat.
- Discrimination against Atlanteans: Tirre uses her position to be a strong advocate for the rights of Atlanteans, especially those who don’t just look like humans with gills. Through Garth, she has spoken (without her glamour charm) at the United Nations and at events around the world.
Hobbies: Activism, Astrology, Human water sports
Fears:
- Betrayal: Kaldur’s betrayal, though fake, left its mark on a younger Tirre. She is still quite weary and slow to trust, as the thought of betrayal is perpetually in the back of her mind.
Talents: Public speaking, sorceryAppearance
Height: 5’4”
Skin Tone: Pale green (in water), Tan (on land/glamour charm)
Eye Color: Green (in water), teal (on land/glamour charm), glow blue (when using advanced sorcery)
Hair Description: Blue-green that fades into a lighter turquoise at the ends. She often wears it up in a high ponytail. When in her civilian clothes, her hair often dries frizzy or a bit curly after so many hours in the water.Relationships

- Hydrokinesis: some hydrokinesis comes more naturally to her, but when using more complex powers she relies more on sorcery and tentacle-like tattoos appear on her forearms and sometimes legs.
- Glamour Charms: Tirre was originally convinced to go to the surface world when Kaldur gave her a glamour charm that made her appear mostly human, though she still kept some of her tattoos and her hair. This glamour charm only made her appear human outside of water, and when in water she would appear as her true self. As time went on on the surface, it became apparent that Tirre also needed a glamour charm that made her always appear human, so after some convincing from Kaldur, Zatanna made Tirre a second one. As of Season 4 she no longer uses there charms unless going incognito.

Weaknesses:
- Heat
- Dehydration: She is truly amphibian and must re-enter water within a certain period of time.
