Found by a deep cave patrol that scouted unknown tunnels on the shores of Kalimdor, the circumstances under which it has been discovered were rather unremarkable. Wrapped in a magically insulated casing, it was carried by a huge Naga Myrmidon that seemed to be more interested in slipping away from the fight than engaging with the usual Naga ferocity. The dull looking, blue hued, metallic axe-like shaft was merely packed with the rest of the spoils and delivered to the Brigade Quartermasters for evaluation.

It was first there the patrol members realized that they have been extremely lucky. The enchanter who took to examining the weapon using his magic, sparked a reaction that activated the object! The blue, metallic and undeniably grotesque instrument lit up with an eerie, frosty light and begun to emanate massive amounts of ice magic. Within moments the shaft created a blade in a way that was reminiscent of a frost dragon dispensing its deadly breath weapon.

The blade was found to be not only extremely sharp, but each strike of the weapon resulted in a massive discharge of frost magic into the poor target dummies. It was obvious that the axe was far more powerful than anything the Brigade has seen in the hands of the Naga and their allies. Who crafted the weapon? And what manner of powerful frost magic wielding spellcaster imbued it with its terrible powers? The answers to these questions are a mystery - for now. One thing is certain, the deep tunnel patrols have been doubled in strength and proceed with extreme caution.
