Last day of Mermay 2021! Here is Maya, a minor character from Mako Mermaids, portrayed by the Australian model and actress Angelee Snow. She is Aquata's friend and was only seen once in Season 01 episode 01 and does have a small spoken line. I wished they had casted more people of color (other than the character Weilan) as mermaids/mermen in this series, but the appearance of Maya is a welcome sight. Drawing her was really fun. For her hair, I had to looked at photos of the actress Angelee Snow for references. Drawing a lagoon was fun, too, even though I'm not very good at background or landscape.

Well, I had hoped to finished Aquata, too, but it looks like it won't be in time for Mermay 2021. But yes, I will continue to draw more Mako Mermaids fan arts. For now, I need a break...work has been stressful...
