===Drawing Commentaries===

The Hundred Years War is one of the most well known conflict in the middle ages where many of the famous battles such as as, Crecy and Agincourt took place. Interestingly enough, it was also a period where some of the most stand out medieval personalities took part in battle, one of them being Joan d'Arc. While many depictions of her and the army of the period are many, it would be a crime not to include this historical period in the HWS series, especially in the coming artbook that explores the arms and armor of medieval france from 800s to 1400s AD.

In this portrayal, Queen BĂ©atrice is depicted in the typical plate armor of the early 15th century with surcoat and the well known houndskull bascinet, as well as stylized crown attached to the helmet. Similar depictions are also applied to the rest of the nobles amd men at arms, while humbler fashion are used for more common soldiers. It was a fairly straightforward drawing, given that references from both effigies and re-enactments are readily available.
