I drew this for my brother, today is his birthday.

Doom is one of his most favorite videogames of all time, it's one of those games we grew up with. As much as I love and enjoy it, he's certainly alot better at it than I am. Seriously, he knows the original Doom like the back of his hand! If there's one game that he's perfected his skills at since the mid-90s, it's Doom. If there is one game that he's enthusiastically played through again and again, it's Doom. If there's one game that he's played several versions of, from the original on the PC, to the crappy ports made for home consoles, to the downloaded version off Xbox Live Arcade, it's Doom. Okay, bottom line, my brother loves Doom, and he's freakishly good at it!

Like I said, I really enjoy Doom also, so I had alot of fun drawing this for him. Gotta love the classic Doom marine! I had alot of fun drawing the helmet too. Oh, interesting fact, the infamous shotgun from classic Doom is actually based on a toy gun; the Tootsie Toy Dakota cap gun. I actually had 5 or 6 of these toys when I was a kid, and they'd all end up breaking sooner or later! I think I made the shotgun in my picture here look more like a Winchester 1200 Defender: [link]
