Poudretteite by GatlingPea32 on DeviantArt (original) (raw)
A sweet, dandy gem I've made specifically for Valentine's Day
I think this would be a different type of gem I've made, considering that the latter half of 2018 I had been focusing on Diamonds and Sapphires, and sometimes, Spinels and Pearls.
---------------------------------------------------------------
POUDRETTEITE Type: Poudretteite
Diminutive/s: Poudrette, Little Princie
Pronouns: She/Her
Height: 5'6" (She's around my height lol)
Gem Location: Back
Motif: Poudretteite, Seraph, Hummingbird, Japanese Tree Peony (Paeonia suffruticosa) also known as "Hanakisoi".
Weapon: N/A
Special feature: Hummingbird wings - Poudretteite's main feature is her Hummingbird-like wings, which can be retracted or spread freely. Unlike her Diamond, her wings are actually connected to her gem, located at her upper back, and she has the capability to fly in great distances. She usually displays her wings involuntarily when she feels happy, excited and aroused, but also when she feels sad. One can tell her emotions through her wings; both wings pointing upwards means that she is happy, while both wings pointed downwards in a V-shape means that either she is serious or feeling sad.
- Poudretteite is mostly seen as a young, cheerful but emotional gem who tends to be drawn to her strong emotions. She is a bright and bubbly gem who would often cheer up sad gems on the court and thus she also pleases and cheers up her Diamond in some cases. She also appears to be also a romantic gem who would entice gems with her personality and appearance. However, in contrast, she tends to trust gems too much without knowing them first, owing to her very friendly nature. She also tends to be too emotionally attached to gems who she feels close and safe with, and would feel extremely sad when gems would leave her or express their disapproval for her efforts.
- Her appearance bears similarities with her diamond Princie, especially her wings. This is because she worked as a personal apprentice for the Diamond, and as being her court member, she adopted the traditional gem colors of her Diamond, but having a more lighter peach tone. She is often nicknamed by many gems as Little Princie, owing to her close resemblance of colors to her Diamond.
- She belongs to one of the most rarest gem groups on Homeworld Colonies; the Poudretteites. Poudretteites are known to have a petite, human-like appearance that resemble generic Lapis Lazulis and most of them have gems located on their back. They are also known to have a similar function to Lapis Lazulis, as Poudretteites are once tasked on changing the planet's atmospheric conditions and thus most of them have Air Manipulation capabilities. The drawback of the Poudretteites is that there are only 10 existing Poudretteites on Homeworld, partly because they were made months prior to the Great Gem War and they were commissioned by the original Pink Diamond before her alleged shattering. Their gem bodies tend to be unstable as they first reform and only 10 are known to have near-perfect appearances, one being this gem above which was adopted by Princie Diamond.
