Description

I've wanted to do one of these "paint over an animation cell" practice pieces ever since I first saw one (here's an example, if you're not familiar with them: Robin Hood and Maid Marian), but of course, there's only one animation source that I ever seriously considered for a paintover...a classic MOTU cell! I decided to start with that portrait shot of He-man that everybody knows from the moral segment at the end of every episode. I'll probably do some more of these using He-man stock footage, because it was a ton of fun. Or maybe I'll do this with some classic comic covers or panels. So many options!
