Mamiña is the aymara word for "The girl of my eyes".This is a story of the old Inca empire, wich start in a sad day, when the Ñusta (inca princess) started to lost loose her sight. Her desesperated father, an Inca Chief, was in pain watching the sadness of his girl becoming blind. So he take he, and both traveled across the land, searching for a cure in the far corners of the empire, asking to diferent wise men and doctores but with no luck. After years of one and another failed medicine or solution to cure the disease, they abandone all hope. Then, they was headed back to home when they find another travelers wich come across the desert. The travellers was talking about a small valley in the south, inhabited long time ago by the Puquina people: "There is a thermal spring with an amazing healing properties". There, the Ñusta washed eyes and for everybody´s surprise, she recovered her sight ans she was able to see her father eyes again. In gratitude to the forces of the nature, the valley will not be forgotten again, and was renamed as Mamiña, "the girl of my eyes"
