A homage to my favorite WH40k fancomic "His Angels" by Mick19988 (twitter.com/Mick19988)... except with a more hopeful end to the scene (as much hope as being surrounded by nids can afford i guess).

And when his Brothers came, they were shocked and relived to find him alive and every 'Nid within a thousand miles WAS DEAD! (They literally walked though a 1000 yards of 'Nid corpses!)

And then they saw the little girl on his shoulders hugging him....And they understood.
