I actually stumbled across this gorgeous picture of a Chaos Plague Marine sort of by chance. It was just line art, no colors, I just HAD to color it. I did some searching and found that the original artist actually resides here, on DeviantArt. I asked him for a permission to color his drawing and he graciously agreed. So, many thanks for that, Taytonclait!

Now, the drawing itself is a very good (in a sort of... gruesome and disgusting way) depiction of a Plague Marine. Those guys are former Space Marines, most often from the Death Guard Legion, that have turned to Chaos and worship Nurgle. Grandfather (or Papa, as his followers call him...) Nurgle is actually a pretty swell guy for a Chaos God; he is the only one of the bunch who actually loves his worshippers. The problem is that he shows his love by "gifting" them with disgusting mutations and terrible diseases while simultaneously granting them immortality and invulnerability. So they live in an everlasting state of... well... you see it for yourselves
The Plague Marines are terrible foes for the Imperium, walking horrors full of unimaginable diseases born from the nightmarish Warp. Wherever they go, they sow pestilence and death. All in the name of Papa Nurgle.
