I really love the Legendary Starfy for DS, it's such a cool concept and I wish more of the Starfy games were localized. Starfy is comparable to Kirby in the cute department, so of course I had to draw them together.

I think cool colors are better for shading, particularly a color that isn't complementary to any of the main colors, like blue for pink (red) and yellow. But a color in the middle works alright if it is desaturated. There probably shouldn't be too many contrasting main colors anyway, which is something I should keep in mind. I am working toward larger full pieces with multiple subjects and detailed environments.
