I've been waiting months to do this one, just so I didn't spoil the plot. But now we know who Laser and his pack are.

"Laser is a little guy with a huge story. He is the oldest living Evocanis, survivor of not only their former short lifespan, but also the Year Zero event. Thankfully, Retcans came to the Evo's life just in time for little Laser to go through the Regen procedure. Further aging was stopped, and after almost a year, his body had fully regenerated to healthy and strong young adult.

His past is not without scars. His former pack was lost in the Year Zero Event. His mate and both of their pups. Despite the painful memories, Laser never lost his will to live and work hard for Canis Major and his kind. During that horrible day, he met a younger Lay (story pending), and formed a little pack of their own. Laser, Lay and Lay's daughter, Lya.

Laser is the voice of wisdom. He tries his hardest to make Lay break through from his trauma, while he mostly raised Lya as his own. They are an unlikely trio, but Evo love knows no size, or boundaries.

Laser has a lot of experience in the inner-workings of Canis Major. He enjoys fixing stuff, no matter the challenge. He might lack the physical strength, but his small body and dexterous paws make up for it. He will get into places that no other Evo can and fix things faster than a maintenance drone. This brave little guy is not afraid of getting things done, no matter the challenge.
