At the time of this pages release, the artist was still working at a regional newspaper as a junior graphic designer, it goes without saying that this job was his "foot in the door" when it came to digital and print media as very little other prospects were available to him given the location was a small town in South Africa. He used the knowledge and experience he accumulated there on these pages, unfortunately this meant that most of his earlier work would be done on the CMYK color format that was used by printed works. These became a glaring issue going forward as he had an intense love for bright colours, and the colour format of CMYK was very limited in its range of effects that could be used, most of which is showcased in this particular page, this will lead to him eventually adopting the RGB colour format later down the line.

Regardless, despite their major role in the conflict, this would be the last time the SPEAR rebels feature, as after this the main antagonist of the series would be taken over by ORB.
