Description

Body armour has seen significant advancements throughout the centuries, in the current era Gungear takes place, Body armour has become light weight and nearly indestructible by small arms fire, in addition most armies have taken to equipping their soldiers with a bullet and fireproof "gambeson" underneath the body armour making plasma weaponry among the only effective incendiary weapons against professional soldiers. a Trademark of said gambeson used by SPEAR, CROSS and ORB is a "turtleneck" configuration that prevent any serious injuries to the wearer.

As a result of this it is not uncommon for most combatants to be bullet spongey, able to receive multiple body hits with only minor injuries.
