I decided from the start to NOT use any reference photos for this one, because I wanted to represent what I view as a mountain in my mind's eye, not what I actually see. I wanted to create every slope and curve and crevasse, and imagine this whole new place on a blank piece of paper that has never existed. Don't you find more enjoyment when it's completely imaginary, or is that just me? In a way it can be more stressful...
