...Okay, so not the post I was promising But it's my mum's birthday tomorrow and I made her this cake. I was excited that it worked out! Well, it's not to the standard of dA's queens of cakes ( ) but...at least you can recognize what it is!
I should start a blog or something as the WORST baker in the world...I've never been any good at it. Everyday cooking and desserts, yes, cakes, no. But at least this is something I can be remotely proud of. Maybe it's a turning point? Fondant/icing roses were made by hand, no tools required. The cake is a three layer vanilla sponge filled with vanilla butter cream.
