Going for a walk. img468, with story by harrietsfriend on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

This was a time before video games and smart phones. Play was simpler and it involved being outside with others. I found this pair playing walk the pet. It might have lasted for hours, or just for the few seconds I watched them. It was a brief moment, but I was lucky enough to catch it, this slice of street life.

I was visiting my friend whose father and mother mentored me in life, and my art. That's my 1958 VW micro bus parked by the NO PARKING sign, only briefly on Klotter Street.

Taken with my Leica M2, with 50mm F2.0 Summicron on Kodak Plus X 135mm panchromatic film, in the mid 70s.

Pet running away.img469, with story by harrietsfriend Seconds later, just after taking the first picture, they past me breaking into a run up the street. What fun.
