Description

I was trying for a minimalist, Chinese-style watercolour painting. Still need practice, but I thought this didn't turn out too bad.
I used photo reference, but didn't quite copy any one photo in particular.

You were trying a minimalistic Chinese-style water colour and you succeeded in your efforts. I am quite serious when I say that even before I saw your artist's comments I was thinking that is what it was. Your command of water colours is quite wonderful, I can't quite articulate what I mean, but it just looks like it should to me... the colours aren't too stiff, but they aren't so sloppy that they are melting everywhere in a big mess. This is a very fine piece.
