The virus and radiation fallout have not only affected humans but also animals, leading to the emergence of various types of feral, zombified dogs. These creatures pose a significant threat to survivors, each type exhibiting unique behaviors and characteristics.
Types of Feral, Zombified Dogs
- Description: The most common type of feral dogs. They are aggressive and hungry mongrels that hunt in packs.
- Behavior: Mongrels are highly territorial and will attack anything that enters their perceived territory. They rely on their numbers to overwhelm prey.
- Appearance: They have matted fur, exposed scav and rotting flesh. Their eyes glow with an unnatural light, and they emit a constant low growl.
- Description:This creature was once a domestic dog or wild canine, now transformed into a grotesque and relentless predator by the virus.
- Behavior: Brutes are less common but highly dangerous due to their size and strength. They tend to lead packs of Mongrels or operate alone.
- Appearance: A more decayed version of a regular mongrel, they seem pretty dumb
and sometimes blind, usually they're just a walking carrion of a dog. - Description: Larger and more powerful than Mongrels, Brutes are formidable adversaries, dogs that use their howls to call other infected dogs and zombies to their location.
- Behavior: Howlers will howl to alert nearby threats before engaging in combat, making them a significant threat in areas with high zombie activity.
- Appearance: Muscular and heavily scarred, with significant mutations such as oversized jaws or additional teeth. Their bodies are exposed muscles in toughened, almost armor-like skin. They often have milky eyes and foaming mouths.
- Description: Dogs driven to extreme aggression by the radiation virus, making them hyperactive and highly dangerous.
- Behavior: Scorched mongrels attack with a frenzied intensity. They are difficult to predict and harder to fend off due to their relentless nature.
- Appearance: It's skin is blistered and blackened from radiation burns, with patches of charred flesh and exposed muscles, they have no fur, and sometimes with birth defections and deformities.
- Description: Severely mutated dogs with a human head, a product of the virus and radiation that have twisted the natural order.
- Behavior: Abominations are unpredictable and can vary in their level of aggression and intelligence. Some may be solitary hunters, while others might lead packs. Besides Howling and grunts they also can be hear whispering incomprensenly, one of their tactics is fake a woman's sobbing to attract it's victims.
- Appearance: Grotesquely deformed with a deformed human face for head. Their bodies are often covered in growths and other abnormalities.
