I guess it's the atmosphere, the fascination, the fact that somebody was living inside there, just like we do now in our houses and flats...
And maybe the fear of the unknown - of course.

I just love places like that!

But back to your deviation:
brilliant shot! you did a very good job.
I like the contrast between her clothes and the rotten walls.
