Vance was abducted at a young age by someone who shared ill ties with his family and was found nearly a month later after government officials presumed him dead. He was covered head to toe with bruises, wounds, tape, and scars. After being taken to and stabilized at a hospital it was safe to say that he would be able to continue living with the only hinderance being the lack of vision in his left eye.

Vance, now a junior in High School, gets along well with practically all of his peers and has a rather enthusiastic and welcoming personality but only attempts to tackle his personal struggles behind closed doors.
